Los Matadors are a young Tejano Band out of Midland, Texas. Their ages range from fourteen to eighteen.
The band was
established in 2005 and is directed by Anthony Revilla who also
plays the bass and back up vocals. Other band members include Adrian
Revilla who plays the accordion, Andy Salgado who plays the
guitar and back up vocals, Jay Leyva who plays the keyboards, Ryan
Olgin who plays the drums, Josh Sanchez who plays percussion and the
beautiful and talented Tania Castaneda, the lead vocalist.
Los Matadors are young and very energetic. Their style of music is very unique. They write and compose their music but also play cover music. Los Matadors play a wide variety of music such as Tejano, Rancheras, Boleros, Cumbias, and Country. These “YOUNG GUNS” are available to play for any type of celebration such as weddings, quinceañeras, anniversaries, and contract dances. The band has charm and charisma and will assure you a great show each time they perform. Los Matadors have recorded their 1st CD, which is entitled THE FIRST, meaning that there will be much more coming in the near future.
Los Matadors have opened up for name bands such as Little Joe Y La Familia, Jimmy Gonzales Y Groupo Mazz, Gary Hobbs, La Tropa F, The Legends - Sunny Ozuna, Carlos Miranda, Augustin Ramirez, La Sombra, Fama, and Tiger Diaz just to name a few.
The band has been selected to perform at the 2007 TTMA Fan Fair in San Antonio, Texas. The Band Motto is Keeping Tejano Music Alive! If you ever have the opportunity of hearing them perform you will see exactly what they mean.
